2016 Get Out, Enjoy Life Accessible Travel Event + Photo Contest

It’s our sixth year for the Get Out, Enjoy Life photo contest, with three fantastic prizes offered through two fabulous wheelchair-focused communities, and we do it all with ONE person in mind – YOU!

SPORTS ‘N SPOKES, the sports and recreation magazine of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), has teamed up with social community for wheelchair users, Wheel:Life,  to encourage people with disabilities to “Get Out & Enjoy Life This Summer”.

This year’s GOEL theme is all about travel everywhere your heart desires to go regardless of your paralysis, using the slogan of GO, LET’S GO, and the program will spotlight activities like adaptive sports, accessible amusement parks, inclusive vacation spots and other unique outings.

The 2016 GOEL event kicks off on June 1, 2016, with a photo contest and prize giveaways for participants.  The SPORTS ‘N SPOKES and Wheel:Life social media pages will feature a daily listing of accessible vacation spots, outdoors programs, and other events.

You’re our eyes and ears out there on the open road, so we hope you’ll get on board and share your favorite summer activities and accessible adventures with us for a chance to win some big daily prizes. You’ll also have a chance to land the cover of the September SPORTS `N SPOKES.

Over the years we’ve received hundreds of photos from around the world of your adventures of accessible hiking, extreme chair skating (WCMX) and bungee jumping – to name just a few. Here’s your chance to get in on the action, encourage others to be active and win some fun prizes along the way, so Go, Let’s Go!

You can submit your 2016 GOEL photo here anytime between June 1-30, 2016 for a chance to win a grand prize.
