2015 Get Out, Enjoy Life Contest: Everywhere

It’s summer and that can only mean one thing …
it’s time for the Get Out, Enjoy Life 2015 contest with SPORTS ’N SPOKES, Life After Spinal Cord Injury (LASCI), Wheel:Life and introducing our newest sponsor, iPush Foundation.  It’s our 5th year and we want to go everywhere, so join us during the month of June for a host of new accessible daily destinations and your chance to win some exciting prizes.

In 2011, we introduced you to the idea of exploring your world and sharing those experiences with us by submitting your outdoor sporting, recreation and travel pictures. And share you did.

Over the years, we’ve received hundreds of photos from around the globe depicting your adventures of accessible hiking, extreme chair skating and bungee jumping – to name a few. Oh yeah, we also handed out some really cool prizes, put the winner on our September 2014 cover, and gave out a brand-new wheelchair.

Well, now’s your chance to get in on the action during the Get Out, Enjoy Life 2015 contest. Join SPORTS ’N SPOKES, Wheel:Life, LASCI, and iPush Foundation starting June 8 -21, 2015 as we highlight the many accessible destinations across the country and beyond.

So, get packed and be sure to check in daily on the S’NS, Wheel:Life, LASCI and iPush Foundation Facebook pages for a chance to win daily destination prizes. Don’t forget to bring your camera and send in your accessible hot-spot photos. You could win big!

Each day, beginning June 8, 2015, you’ll find an accessible outdoor opportunity listed on the S’NS, Wheel:Life, LASCI and iPush Foundation Facebook pages. And, the best part is, when you comment on the postings, you’ll automatically be entered to win the daily prize pack.

To participate in the 2015 GOEL daily destination contest, simply visit the SPORTS `N SPOKES, Wheel:Life, LASCI and/or iPush Foundation Facebook pages, look for the daily destination posting and leave a comment. It’s that easy. You’ll be entered to win the daily destination drawing.

If you’re not already following us, click on the links to “LIKE” our Facebook pages, and you’ll be ready to roll! Remember, to be eligible to win the daily prizes you MUST COMMENT on the posts of places and programs we mention. Winners will be selected for each post each day after comments are reviewed.

Contest Dedication:

We recently lost a faithful GOEL fan, musician and ADA advocate in a tragic accident earlier this month. On behalf of SPORTS `N SPOKES, Wheel:Life, LASCI and iPush Foundation, we honor the memory of Frank Barham and dedicate this year’s contest to his legacy.  Without the right equipment, living to your potential can be impossible for someone with a physical disability. Frank Barham worked tirelessly to change that by raising donations to provide people with disabilities access to life changing wheelchairs.

About LASCI:

lasci logoLASCI founder Bert Burns is a C7 quadriplegic who first read S’NS in his early days of recovery after a life-changing car accident.  “Every month as I was in rehab, I would go through the pages of SPORTS ’N SPOKES, amazed by the athletes they featured and hoping I could be one, too,” Burns says.

Burns formally began Life After Spinal Cord Injury as an outreach program in 2010 after more than 20 years of working with peer groups and the SCI community. Life After Spinal Cord Injury is sponsored by UroMed and Edgepark, two of the largest urology medical supply companies in the country.
